Martha's Vineyard is an island, accessible only by boat or plane. September is a beautiful month to visit the Vineyard and can still be busy, travel arrangements should be made in advance especially if you plan on bringing your car with you.

Ferries

Steamship Authority departing from Woods Hole, MA is the only ferry service that transports motor vehicles to the island. As the Official Ferry Service of the 2013 Vineyard Warrior Triathlon, The Steamship Authority is making a special offer to all registrants:

Bike Transport & Security

Most lodgings are not able to keep valuable bikes safe and secure, some hotels simply do not have the space to allow bikes in the rooms. Therefore, we highly encourage you to use our Bicycle Security Plan.
